Research

We conducted extensive research on our target audience, primarily comprised of millennials. Our study aimed to identify the essential and appealing aspects when dealing with a critical topic such as finances. Our findings indicated that users preferred a charming and approachable aesthetic, which could bring a smile to their faces and enable them to comprehend complex financial concepts easily.

Additionally, we investigated millennials’ perceptions of the elderly and found that many admired their ability to stay true to themselves and pursue their dreams, no matter how unconventional or playful.

To create an engaging and user-friendly design, we employed Chatgpt to gain insight into how to present financial information in a fun and interactive format. We also consulted Chatgpt for common retirement goals to ensure that our design meets the needs of our target audience.

We noticed a need for better elderly care websites and apps, as well as more engaging financial app graphics. Our solution was to create a visually attractive and playful app, making it accessible and enjoyable for users. The Mint app is also a great option for financial management.

Conclusion

We found that managing finances for adult children taking care of their elderly parents can be overwhelming, especially for retirement and eldercare expenses. Adding personality and humor to an app's design can make it more user-friendly. Our goal was to create a fun and approachable interface that helps users manage their finances in an enjoyable way, even for complex relationships. We used color, relatable language, and interactivity to make our design intuitive and user-friendly for our target audience, backed by extensive user testing. At the end, we created an app to simplify managing finances in the context of adult children and aging parents.
